Frequently Asked Questions

Answers to what contractors ask us most before working together.

FAQ List

Yes. While we're based in the Coastal Bend, we serve contractors throughout South Texas — from the Eagle Ford shale to the Port of Corpus Christi and surrounding markets. Some services are delivered remotely; others involve on-site work. We'll discuss travel scope during your initial assessment.

Primary service cities include Corpus Christi, Alice, Kingsville, Robstown, Portland, Ingleside, Three Rivers, Beeville, Victoria, and the broader South Texas region.

If you're pursuing ISNetworld pre-qualification, bidding on operator or government contracts, or have employees in the field — you're not too small. In fact, smaller companies often have the most to gain.

You can build the right foundation from the start rather than fixing problems after an incident or failed audit. The cost of getting flagged or cited almost always exceeds the cost of the right consulting engagement up front. Our Bronze retainer at $1,500/month was built specifically with smaller crews in mind.

The biggest difference is on-site presence and hours.

  • Bronze:Remote advisory relationship — you have someone to call, a point of contact for questions, and help with document updates. 10 remote hours/month at $1,500.
  • Silver:Adds one on-site field day per month and a written monthly HSE status report. For active job sites that need regular on-site presence. 10 remote hours + 1 field day at $3,500.
  • Gold:Closest to having a full-time HSE manager — two field days, 20 remote hours, quarterly training, and full HSE program management. Built for contractors with multiple crews or sites at $6,500.

Yes. If you've received an OSHA citation, we can help you respond, contest if appropriate, and implement the corrective actions required. Rate: $175/hour.

This work typically involves reviewing the citation, assessing the evidence, developing your informal conference strategy, documenting corrective actions, and submitting the required paperwork within the 15-working-day window. If you've received a citation, call us immediately — the timeline for response is short.

NEBOSH (National Examination Board in Occupational Safety and Health) is an internationally recognized safety and health certification — equivalent in credibility to a senior safety officer certification but with broader international scope. It requires rigorous examination-based assessment, not just course completion.

It demonstrates technical depth well beyond standard OSHA training. Many major operators and government contracting agencies specifically recognize NEBOSH certification when evaluating contractors and their safety programs. When an operator sees NEBOSH on a safety program or proposal, they know the person behind it has been tested to an international standard.

Yes. This is one of the most common things we help with. Getting onto an operator's approved vendor list — through ISNetworld, Avetta, or Veriforce — requires specific documentation, grades, and compliance records. Every platform has different requirements, scoring criteria, and reviewers who look for specific things.

We know what each platform requires, what causes initial rejections, and how to structure your documentation to clear qualification efficiently. Whether you're setting up a profile for the first time or cleaning up an existing one with holds, this is exactly what we do.

Yes. Vanguard is SAM-registered for federal contracting work (CAGE: 196R8, UEI: PGSGEB31ED14, NAICS: 541611). We can assist contractors pursuing government work with safety planning, pre-bid documentation, and compliance oversight requirements.

Federal contracting agencies often require specific safety documentation, designated safety personnel, and documented compliance programs as part of the bid package. We help contractors get that documentation in order so safety issues don't disqualify an otherwise strong bid.
